School Infrastructure

It’s common knowledge that every parent wants to spend money where their kids feel safe and secure while learning and enjoying their student life. S.S.Citizen School assures the parents, that the school has ample safety standards and facilities to make learning a joy. Like an experienced teacher and teaching, pedagogy plays a critical role in shaping students’ academic lives, infrastructure is also vital. S.S.Citizen School has created a favorable environment for students’ holistic development and ensures school-teacher ratio is also a key parameter to assure the parents before they admit their wards to our school. Children spend nearly a quarter of their student’s life in the classrooms. Keeping this in mind, our classrooms are spacious and airy providing all facilities and modern teaching aids like computers, the internet as well as LCD projector. Each classroom is specially designed with furniture suitable for individual study as well as group work. It also offers space for storing children’s belongings, books, and other study material. It includes a dust-free writing board, display board, variety of charts, maps, and other visual learning/teaching aids. Class strength is limited to ensure individual guidance and instructions.

SPORTS FACILITIES:

S.S.Citizen School features with the school infrastructure such as -Spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, Libraries, Playgrounds, Well-equipped labs, Facilities study tables, chairs, furniture and basic utilities such as water, electricity, etc., Study halls, Games equipment, Assembly area, Well-maintained sanitation facilities etc.. S.S.Citizen School has been keen in developing students sporting skills and has invested in school infrastructure, which play an enabling role in solving many access-related problems of students to the school system, thereby giving a boost to their academic performance too. Thus, provision of sports facilities, basketball courts, tennis courts, cricket pitch, skating rink, volleyball courts and a multi-play station for kindergarten are made available in our school’s infrastructure

Cyber Zone

No educational institution can flourish without computers today. Therefore it is imperative that we incorporate computer education in our curriculum. S.S.Citizen School has computer based classrooms and fully equipped Computer Labs. The school has Computer Lab which are fully equipped with multimedia machines to provide the most advanced computer-aided education. The computer laboratory is connected with high speed Broadband connection for Internet Surfing under surveillance. S.S.Citizen School has Audio-Visual Rooms equipped with Multimedia Computer with LCD Projector and white board technology (Smart Class), where interactive teaching of all the subjects through computer takes place.

Laboratory facilities

S.S.Citizen Schoollaboratories are well equipped with various apparatus and working models. Children visualize through working models, the concept being taught to them in theory. The practical are conducted right from basic level ( VI std) to higher level (X std) so that children know proper handling of apparatus and can maintain the record of each experiment done in their Lab Manuals. We have separate labs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology where students are exposed to the facts that lie behind the theory, they read in their respective science classes.Our School has a well equipped Social Science lab. Lab is full of various 3D models, charts, maps and many audio visual teaching aids which are used by teachers to enable the students to understand the geographical concepts in an interactive way. S.S.Citizen School Maths lab is a place where learning becomes fun. Students from classes VI to X have well planned activities here. To facilitate and engage the students in a variety of hands on learning experiences the students & teachers have put together models in the laboratory. A number of experiments with colourful paper cutout & paper folding activities are on display which help to clarify concepts of lines, angles, triangles, quadrilateral & circles etc. for classes VI to X.

Transportation

The school has bus that go to all the nearby areas like Sorancheri (Color Homes), Anaikattucherry, Pattabiram Police station, Thandurai (Devar Street), Thendral Nagar, West Gopalapuram. The drivers and conductors are well trained and connected to each other and the school by cell phones provided to them. For proper functioning every route is given two teachers and route registers are maintained where teachers take daily attendance of the route students. The buses leave the school only after the route teacher checks that each child who ought to be in on the bus has actually boarded the bus.
