We know that one of the most important decisions that a parent makes on behalf of their child is the decision about which school to send them to. There are few things which are likely to have more impact on a young person’s future than the quality of the school they attend. So we work hard to ensure that everyone who sends their child to the SS CITIZEN SCHOOL is happy with that choice. It is our belief that every child deserves the very best start in life and we make it our purpose to provide just that to all the children who enter our doors. We endeavor to provide the best possible teaching and curriculum; we want your child to make progress and achieve the very best they can, but most of all we want the children to the SS CITIZEN SCHOOL to be happy and enjoy their life with us.

Established back in 2007, the Indian School in the State of Tamil Nadu has a tradition of quality. The school was founded on the principles of developing and challenging the whole individual – ‘Head, Hand & Heart’ -producing students with high aspirations and confident independence.

In 2024, our first children of S S CITIZEN SCHOOL will graduate. Equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to study their ideas – anywhere in the world. They’ve had schooling that motivated them to ask questions and deepen their knowledge. They solve problems with creativity and innovation and they have a strong belief in their abilities.

Broad digital expertise has given them the tools they need to find new opportunities to communicate and collaborate in a complex flow of information. For them, it is obvious that learning must make sense. They are accustomed to working with the outside world both locally and globally. They know that failure is an experience. They are committed and active citizens who believe that each individual contributes with something unique and valuable.

Message from the Chairman’s desk to the Parents

S.S.Citizen School, a Preparatory Academy for Public Services has been established under the aegis of Citizen Academy Trust and is located in the vicinity of Hindu College Railway Station. This School was the brainchild of Mr.G.Somasundaram who was keen on establishing a good school in the vicinity of his second native place, Pattabiram. What started as a small dream was given due shape by the well-directed interest and entrepreneurship displayed by Mr. S. Ravi, M.Sc, MBA, B.Ed.

S.S.Citizen School is a coeducational day school conducting kindergarten classes year to year and to progress to senior secondary classes in the coming years. The school follows the CBSE pattern of syllabus. The infrastructure of the S.S.Citizen School shall progress year to year and it is expected to grow in geometric progression in the coming years. Every new day dawns with different challenges. S.S.Citizen’s School is an institution set up with the specific aim to provide quality education to children to make an entry into the Public Services Departments and to equip the students to tread on the un-trodden path with utmost discipline and internal motivation to take success in their stride

S.S.Citizen School will be equipped well to cater to modern teaching and learning. The foundation of all education, the Kindergarten classes will follow the Montessori Method of education. The educational objectives and methodology of teaching will be focussed on making education learner-oriented, value-based, and with stress on developing skills, thus giving it a holistic dimension.

The general thrust of the school is: Learning by doing, discipline and decorum, healthy student-teacher relationship, and sensitizing the individual on vital human concerns. The School will acquire a rich resource reservoir as regular teacher empowerment programs and students enrichment programs will be organized throughout the year. The dedicated and committed teamwork of the staff will be a prime motivating factor. Fully aware of our tremendous responsibilities, we, in this dynamic institution are committed to forging ahead towards a future where there is equal space for the latest technology as well as the basic human values and rich culture.
