Dental Screening Camp - 2024
A dental screening camp was conducted on 23rd December 2024 at our School, with the help of RKM SEVA Trust and Neshcare Foundation. The camp was coordinated by RKM SEVA Trust and Neshcare Foundation, with the active participation of 5 interns. The program focused on screening students for common oral health issues and educating them on proper oral hygiene practices. The team provided personalised guidance to the children, emphasising the importance of preventive dental care. A dental screening camp is a community event, often free, where dental professionals provide basic oral check-ups, oral hygiene education (brushing, flossing), and early detection of issues like decay or gum disease, especially in schools or rural areas, aiming to improve public oral health and refer complex cases for further treatment. These camps offer preventive care, health education, and sometimes basic treatment, using volunteers and students to reach many people, provide personalised advice, and distribute educational materials.
